It was with a heavy heart that a couple of weeks ago I told the team at Bolt that it was time for me to say goodbye.
This is always a hard decision to make, but this time it was harder. As usual, leaving my job meant leaving behind many things that we’ve built and are still building, and also my team, which I loved to work with. But on top of that, it also meant that my whole life was going to change, yet again, as I would have to move out of Estonia.
Soon enough I’ll write about my decision and what comes next. But as I wrap up my last week here, I just wanted to say how thankful I am to Bolt for the opportunity that was given to me, and that it was a great pleasure to come here and be one of the honey badgers!
Specifically, I wanted to appreciate the opportunities that I had to work closely with local teams from all around Europe and Africa; the chance to do such a great impact by facing many diverse and interesting challenges; and, last but not least, to have made good friends and connections that I hope to keep as we part our ways.
I’m also going to miss Tallinn! My family and I loved living here (my 1.5-year-old son was in Estonia for longer than in Brazil actually). It was truly an amazing experience and we hope that our next stop is as nice and welcoming as this city was for us.
Good luck ahead Bolt, and thank you for everything Estonia! 🇪🇪
